With so many holiday events right around the corner, now is the perfect time to treat your skin! I had a wonderful visit to 3000 BC WellMed Spa located in the quaint little, cobble stone streets of Chestnut Hill. Their staff is friendly, knowledgable and skillfully trained.
My first treatment was "dermaplaning" which is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine velous hair (peach fuzz) and surface dead skin cells. This treatment has immediate results of a refreshed and refined look to the skin. It increase skin's ability to absorb product and improve elasticity and texture while softening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. All skin types can benefit from this procedure.
My second treatment was the HydraFacial MD, which is a resurfacing procedure that cares for your skin, providing cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, and hydration, including Vortex-Fusion® of antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid.
The HydraFacial® is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that delivers instant results with no discomfort or downtime. The procedure is immediately effective and can be given in as little as 30 minutes. It is great for all skin types and 3000BC is one of the very few spa's in the area to offer this!
My skin felt amazing after this treatment, but I was equally impressed with how knowledgable my esthetician, Leigh-Ann was about all things skin care. I mean, I know it is her job to know, but I had questions upon questions about various products on the market.. Like what's the deal with La Mer? Is it really worth all the hype? Or what can I use for exfoliation without flaring up my rosacea? She had ALL of the answers. One product she recommended was HydraSerum which helps keep moisture in your skin. I am so dry during the winter, and this product has been a life saver!
After my treatment I was able to relax in their quiet steam room. The entire day was a special treat and my skin is ready for the holidays! Thank you 3000BC MedWell Spa! I look forward to my next visit.
