Cozy vibes are everywhere this season! Who doesn't love a great faux fur jacket to keep you warm and stylish?! Allison, of the Savvy Camel blog, and I had a fun shoot (shot by her talented hubby Charlie) at Ott's Exotic plants.
Before we dive into the our faux fur picks, let's talk about Ott's! I remember going here years ago as a kid, but haven't visited this spot in a LONG time! You'll recognize Ott's immediately when driving by because you cannot miss the giant mum mountain, of which it's known for. This greenhouses are incredible! They even have a 40 year old fiddle leaf fig tree, which happen to be very trendy right now in the world of house plants. It's definitely worth visiting Ott's if you're in the Schwenksville area.
For this post, Allison and I put our heads together and came up with our shopping picks for faux fur coats and jackets this season (you'll find them at the bottom). We have a few leopard picks, some neutrals and some pops of color. Also, various lengths and cuts.
The coat I'm wearing in these photos is a pale pink color from ASOS coming in at $64. Most of the price points we chose are below $100 and all of them are below $150.
Thanks for reading + happy shopping!
When Sarah Escher reached out to me for an opportunity to collaborate on family pictures I was excited because we both shared a similar vision-- a country setting at almost sunset with the fall leaves surrounding us.
The surreal thing about these pictures is that they're taken on a piece of property we purchased in the middle of town to build our forever home. Essentially, these are our first memories here and for that I will cherish these photos!
On the land there is an old barn with all of the original barn wood and beams intact. My initial thoughts are to take some of these rustic elements to put it our new home. I love the idea of having a piece of history and combining the old with new.
Sarah did a great job capturing the landscape! The kids were such a challenge during the shoot. You never know how they're going to cooperate. We took the photos after school on a rare 70 degree day in fall. All in all she captured some perfect moments of the kids just being kids! However silly and goofy they act, those candid captures often times end up being my favorites!
We are a long ways away from breaking ground, but I love how these will be the 'before' to our someday 'after' photos!

It's that time of year-- holiday card season is upon us! For this month's Mommy Monday post, the gang has teamed up with Giddy Paperie to showcase their beautiful cards and stationery.
Photo featured in cards by Carly Landolt Photography. |
I like to get our holiday pictures done in September for a number of reasons, but mainly because I order my cards early and mail them right around Thanksgiving. I was thrilled to collaborate with Giddy because their pieces are so unique and all homemade. They the are family owned, mother-daughter team bringing personalized, professional work.
I chose the Floral Greeting set because I loved the color scheme and like all their designs, it's a fantastic piece of artwork within each card!
I'm so excited to send these out! They are unlike any cards I've used in the past! So if you're looking something truly unique and special for cards, stationery or gifts-- give Giddy a try! The matching mug and gift tags are a fun addition to the set. It's definitely getting me in the Christmas spirit!
To take all look at everything Giddy offers, please visit their website and instagram! To take a peek at everybody's card selections, visit the other Mommy Monday Gals!

For this year's photos I wanted to go more dressy than our typically casual looks. My photographer, Carly (Carly Landolt Photography) suggested we shoot at the Washington Memorial Chapel at Valley Forge Park to bring in a structural element, yet keep the outdoors feel I love, especially during the fall season.
I honestly could not be happier with how her photos turned out! Carly absolutely nailed it and was able to capture my kid's personalities so well! Seeing these pictures brought tears to my eyes because it's such a stark realization at how time flies. It all of the sudden hit me and I'm left with SO many emotions! I know I will treasure these photos for years to come! My youngest son looks so grown up... I could hardly take it!

Chloe : Age 7 |
Cooper : Age 5 |
The photo above is probably my favorite out of the whole set. Such an effortless feel to it, yet if you've ever met Chloe, you know this pose is so HER-- always dramatic! The kids are all wearing looks from Amazon and everything will be linked at the end of the post.
I love how the green tones look with the landscape and the grey stone on the chapel. It's such different feel than any pictures we've done before!

And of course... It wouldn't be OUR family photos without a tribute to the Redskins :) We've been doing this every year since Cash was a baby. He was pretty excited about this year, as seen in the picture!
